Zoom Help & Instructions

Please familiarize yourself with the Zoom software so that you can join successfully, operate your audio/video and even raise your hand to comment. Zoom has an excellent online support website with video tutorials that can help you get set-up.

How to join meetings using Zoom

Please download the appropriate mobile or desktop app for your device/computer before joining a Zoom meeting for the first time. It is not necessary for you to create an account with Zoom to join a meeting.

Desktop/Laptop

Go to zoom.us/download and download Zoom Client for Meetings.

iPad/iPhone

Go to the App Store and search for ZOOM cloud meetings.

Android

Go to the Google Play Store and search for ZOOM cloud meetings.

By Phone

Dial (312) 626-6799 and use the Meeting ID listed above under the meeting link to connect.

Tips during the meeting

Here are some helpful guidelines that will help create a smooth, dignified meeting.

1. Identify yourself and the number of attendees

When asked for your name, enter your full name along with the number of participants on your device. For example, if you and your spouse are together using the same device, enter John & Jane Doe (2). If you are by yourself, just enter John Doe.

2. Commenting

Sharing in the meeting is a great encouragement to the congregation! Please don’t be shy or let this new technology keep you from participating. Zoom allows for you to digitally raise your hand, which is the preferred method since the conductor may not be able to see your hand.
